they have a young TE in Graham (also from The U) but I don't know why they released Shockey.

They could have at least traded him and gotten something for him.

Shockey ain't what he used to be. Injuries have slowed him(just like Todd Heap who was a beast. Cooley too).

Maybe the Falcons should pick him up in case TG retires.

I did hear Shockey say he has a physical tomorrow for some unidentified team. Who knows.

He has been riddled with injures the last few years, he wont make a huge contribution but at this point that Panthers can use any kind of talent at receiver.

Panthers can use any kind of talent at receiver.

Experienced TE will help with that, smart move by the Panthers IMO
