Sounds like maybe the backups were made with a different version of clockwork. Have you updated recently before you flashes the boot animation?

I'm pretty sure I was on the most recent version of clockwork. I've got to get another battery charger. My phone won't charge like this so I can't get into it to flash the sbf. Hope I can do this. I don't really want to call Verizon again with some tall tale.

Hell yea I'm tempted. The main webOS guy has been working on ice cream sandwich for over a year and you can tell.

My gf is gonna get it first though then I'll decide.

That's what I had to go do. Hit up Radio Shack for a desktop battery kit. Thing ran me $54. Once i'm done, it's going back for sure.
I just flashed the sbf. & it seems to still be stuck.

Heck yes! My droid lives. I was really looking forward to the challenge of fixing it rather than calling up my service provider & getting another phone.

I ordered a Samsung Galaxy S2 Skyrocket for $0.01 on Amazon. Gonna check it out and maybe switch back to Android.

Eventually I will, but so far i'm just enjoying the smoothness and speed. It's a 4G LTE phone too, but AT&T doesn't have LTE here yet where I am but HSPA+ gets faster speeds than my home wifi sometimes haha.

I'll root soon though just to delete all the bloat crap they install on phones
