Should the Lakers go after a big man or guard?

Should they focus on replacing ronny and get a big man?
Or add more depth behind fish and farmar incase one goes down?

Sasha Vujacic
Jordan Farmar
Coby Karl
Kobe Bryant
Derek Fisher
Joe Crawford (maybe?)
Sun Yue (maybe?)
While at the big positions (PF and C), we have:
Pau Gasol
Andrew Bynum
Lamar Odom
Chris Mihm
With Lamar probably at the 3 position during the season, I don't think the majority of his minutes will come at the 4 (assuming we don't trade him). Yup, we need a big. Thankfully, Kwame is no longer available for anyone in the FO to even speculate about bringing in.

If you're talking trades, starting 3 and 1 are the holes.

To those who say we don't need a guard. Did you not see Farmar and Fisher getting tired towards the end of the season? If one of them gets injured who's our PG? Who's gonna guard other PGs? 6' 7'' Sasha? 6' 6'' 30 year old Kobe? Coby Karl?
Why do you say 30 years old,it made me sooooooo sad :machinesad:

We need to upgrade 1 and 3. D Fish is declining. LO is inadequate.
Our front court depth is non-existent. I would have thought we would bring back a familiar face...now that that's not an option, we have to bring in something SOON. How? They don't want to use the MLE. Nothing (of value) is going to be available for the BAE.
So.
Can we get a GREAT package filling all needs with LO and Farmar as primaries? Throw in Vlad if needed? Maybe. Maybe not. In any case, we need to find out fast.
Can we survive while standing pat? Seriously doubt it. SERIOUSLY. We can get some minutes from Vlad or Luke at backup PF and be ok. They are relatively cheap...especially Vlad (whether you want to admit it or not). None of them (LO included) can backup C. Pau can...but we NEED him and Bynum on the floor TOGETHER for a MAJORITY of the time (>35 minutes). Since Pau isn't going to be one the floor for the full 48, will Mbenga suffice for 10+?
But hey, I know nothing. I'm just a lowly fan. If it were up to me, our offseason would have been complete by now with resigning Turiaf for 3 years/11 mil and Sasha for 4 yrs/16-18 mil. Then, I would have trade LO for Shawn Marion and been done with it.
Bynum/Pau or Turiaf
Pau/Marion or Vlad or Turiaf
Marion/Luke or Ariza or Vlad
Kobe/Sasha/Ariza
Fisher/Farmar/Sasha
I know it's not for sure that either would have taken less but offering them decent money (instead of the qualifying offer) would have said "you're a part of the future". That would have made leaving alot harder...
So...recap. Yes and yes. Only now, it's alot, ALOT more difficult to fill those holes now that some of the cenotes have dried up or caved in.

I'm BAAACCCKKKKK!!!

A big for sure...should've matched for Ronny but then I'm not Buss paying.
It's my understanding Turiaf wanted the playing time more than anything else.
