He's a defensive mind. Had the Chargers at the top of NFL defensive rankings virtually every year he was there. Also was the d coordinator of the bears
Solid hire.
We could use him as a defensive coordinator in Philly.

Agreed. JJ was a nightmare to opposing QBs.

^^^ that got me [expletive]ing pumped.
We have some weapons on D that he can use right off the bat, we just need help with offense. Badly.
I still don't think Carolina has any idea who there drafting with #1. I've heard AJ Green, Fairley, or that Clemson DE.
All 3 of those are great with me... We also need a QB cause Clausen sucks. A lot of work to be done. But we do have so great young talent.

"As a college player, my goal was to be drafted into the NFL. I did that. As an NFL player, my goal was to be on a superbowl winning team. I did that too. As a defensive coordinator, my goal was to have the best defense in the league. I did that twice. As a head coach, my goal will be to build a championship team that is a threat year after year. There's a lot of work to be done, and I don't plan to sit on my past accomplishments, but I haven't failed a goal yet. Try me."

Well, he just did declare for the draft. However, right now... he's not a number one overall pick (def a 1st round pick though) but it all depends on how he does at the combine and stuff.
Even though the Panthers need a QB, if Nick Fairley decides to enter the draft (we're supposed to know tomoz) the Panthers may just HAVE to take him.
The number one QB on Scouts Inc's draft board is Blaine Gabbert but it will be interesting to see if that changes now that Cam has decided to go pro.
I don't know where they pick after the 1st pick but maybe they can select Fairley and then trade up to get Gabbert, Mallett, or Newton.
