Pro Bowl cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha's contract voided and he will be allowed to become a free agent without the Oakland Raiders being able to use their franchise tag on him, Raiders senior executive John Herrera confirmed Sunday.

I expect the Eagles to seriously make a run for him (Not wishful thinking either). They almost had him last year for McNabb.

Patterson is a good CB, but he's been burned a couple of times this year. He'd serve as a great nickel corner though. If the Eagles manage to pick him up, and a guy like Brandon Harris or Jimmy Smith via draft, they'd have 2 of the best corners in the NFL to learn from.
