Interesting.
No worries. Andrew Luck is staying at Stanford another year because he wants to play for the 49ers. We will have to sign a vet QB for starting 1 year and then being Luck's backup the next year. That team needs a QB though.

The 49ers story book gets funnier by the second.
Luck is good but hes been beating up on weak pac 10 teams. If he was sec or acc and had to play Florida, Alabama, Georgia, Miami etc and doing what he's been doing then Id be convinced. Blow out wins against Sac state, Cal, AZ etc where you put up 50-60 points aint a big deal when talking about pro football potential. The only pac10 team worth a crap is USC (always great) and Stanford won 37-35. So against the 1 concistantly good team in the divison they squeaked by with a winning FG.
I wouldnt tank a entire season for any draft pick choice let alone a pac10 QB.

so the plan is to tank the season and have the worst record to enable the #1 draft choice of Luck in next years draft.

Luck is good but there's nothing in stone that says he will definitely be the number one pick in next year's draft. Besides, a Harbaugh coached team prolly won't be bad enough to get the overall number one pick.
When he played at Oregon this season (despite the 2 INTs) he threw for over 300 yds, 2 TDs, and completed 63% of his passes. He played well against USC but their pass def sucks (bottom 7). When I actually watched him play though...it appears he has all the tools to be a very good QB.
Only Pac 10 team thats good is USC??? USC is TERRIBLE.
You do know who's playing in the national championship game, right?
