Saw this on the 2k forums. No excuse if true...if you bought a used copy of the game. You need to use a code with the game.
Is 2K9 going to be setup like this? I'm definitely going to buy 2K new on release day. But I was just wondering.
There are going to be a lot of ****ed of Live owners when they find out that they bought their used copy for $54.99 and then have to tack on 20 bucks. A $75 *used* copy of Live!!!!!!

sounds like devs are actually going through with ways to stop people from buyin used gears 2 is rumored to have 5 gears 2 remake maps through a code only found in new copies

Title is very very misleading.
New copy (which I would get) will have the DNA, so this doesn't affect me.

The emphasis is towards 2nd hand ppl that buy the game.
Then again, it doesn't affect me too.

I wish 2k9 had this DNA thing.. I was going to try to buy Live at a used price after playing with 2k9 but I guess this is going to have to force me to get it new... I haven't bought Live in years, but I might have to this time around
