That's the thing I'm most concerned about that's what the C's tried to do last year and we seen how not having HCA hurt them in the finals.

Very true, if they had HCA they would have won no matter how you slice it Posted Image

Lakers lose to another team under .500
What scares me is that teams like the Celtics, Spurs and Mavericks are playing way tougher schedules than the Lakers, playing at higher intensities and playing with better efficiency than the Lakers. Lakers are on pace to win 60 games. In the past 3 years, 60 wins would be enough for the 1st seed in the west. (Had the Lakers not won 60+ in some of those years)

Hopefully we can continue to win at this rate as other teams start to fall. It would be cool to be playing against the odds and still win though.

It really is, I've come to grips with it alonggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg time ago, our franchise is flash and offense. Defense NEVER comes up! Posted Image

I've KINDA come to grips with it a while back also, but for some reason I always find myself giving just a tiny bit of hope every single season that they've learned from it. I guess I'll have to wait until next year hoping that they'll be just a little more consistent on the defensive end  -_-

Do you know how bad we would own teams if we started relying on SOLID DEFENSE? We would be a super human version of Boston Posted Image. Even Matt Barnes and Blake's defense aren't what they were when they were on other teams. Its crazy what the Purple and Gold does to your defensive effort haha...

Oh, I'll definitely enjoy watching some REAL teams play some ball on Christmas day. Apparently, LA won't be playing good basketball until the playoffs.

Does being complacent with Laker losses make you a bigger fan or sumthin?

Or do ya'll get this foolish optimism from the players?

Cuz I can bet my life they arent quoting any of you in the locker room after losses like these,
nobody is saying 'Dont worry guys its not the playoffs yet'.

Face it, the team is beatup; unhealthy and fatigued...we can only hope health and rest will
come to us later on and we can improve from there. :eh:

OMG! What happened? I couldn't watch the game, I wake up, I check nba.com and I found a blowout Lakers loss against a Jennings-less Bucks at home...
We better win the Xmas game.

Arguably the greatest franchise ever

It's obvioulsy upsetting to loose these kinds of games, but come on guys, we know how this team works, it's not until playoffs that everything starts clicking. We can't be happy, but let's not jump off the window just yet.

These kinds of things happen. People gotta learn how to chill. We had the exact same problems last regular season, but look how it all ended up.. I'm not gonna start panicking 'til we're in the playoffs, down 0-2.

We're dealing with the same issues as last year. Complacency and lack of seriousness in the regular season. I guess its kind of a good thing knowing this is a differnet team in the playoffs but we had the no. 1 seed in the West last year, Dallas and San Antonio are on a roll and theyre doing with new guys stepping up every single time, while we're still go only as far as Kobe goes.

They need to get serious

I will take the outcome of last year. The regular season in the NBA is a very long joke.
