USC should've won this game by way more by the way. For whatever the reason, they just had a mental lapse & let up a bit, letting ND come back a bit in the game. They were fortunate (ND) it was even that close, the final score. It was funny though how USC had to celebrate twice and ND had to put their heads down twice due to the clock thing there at the end of the game.

Best Irish can hope for is 9-3, a respectable bowl game.
Best Clausen can hope for is next year.
Incidentally, I still support Charlie Weis.
He's 35-24 (.593), but he had that one miserable season. If the Irish can win three of their next four games (including the bowl game they get), that will give Weis three 9-wins seasons in five years. He has to get better at filling the blanks after the graduation of a big piece (the 3-9 record when Quinn left was unacceptable).

At the very least, Weis needs someone to put together an offensive and defensive game plan. He's good at putting together an overall plan, but his unwillingness to adapt to in game data is just mind-boggling.
Irish 6-4, another mediocre season. I don't know that an 8-4 season, even with a Bowl win, would save him. While I wouldn't be opposed to an ouster, I want someone very good if we're going to move on.

First time since 2000 that the Irish have scored 20+ points in every regular season game. That year, the Irish were 9-2. This year, 6-6.
Clausen has hit on 68% of his passes, 3800 yards, 28 TDs, 4 INTs, and has run for 3 more TDs.
Tate: 1500 yards receiving, 15 TDs.
Floyd: 100+ yards receiving in five of the 7 games he has played.
Insane offense, zero defense. It's pathetic.

I wonder who'll take the job.
I would like to see John Gruden get the job. Chucky in south bend would be something to see.
