"I haven't had no conversation with Phil about that," Ariza said. "I really don't care. I'm here to play basketball. Whether I start, come off the bench, whatever role I play, that's what I'm going to do. I'm not going to stress over it. L.O. is a great player too."

Co-sign.Yeh that's cool that he knows his role on the team. I kind of rather see Lamar start though and Ariza coming off the bench.

MACHINE starts at guard by the 5th game of the season... then starts at every position by the end of the season.

I agree, Vlad can definitely become the starter...
Odom would be a better fit backing up Gasol as a PF than backing up the starting SF.
The 2nd unit would look like this:
Farmar-Sasha-Ariza-Odom-Mihm/Mbenga/Bynum/Gasol
now THAT would be AMAZING.

News today said something about Odom being the ball-handler.
Offense:
Odom
Fisher
Kobe
Pau
Bynum
now on defense, its like the original line-up we been craving now with Bynum in the mix.
Defense:
Fisher
Kobe
Odom
Pau
Bynum
it doesn't work that way offense will still be
fisher
kobe
odom
gasol
bynum
he is the facilitator and ball handler but not the PG

damn that is a bold prediciton. IMO that is not going to happen unless both Ariza and Odom get injured.
If you haven't been paying attention for the past 4 years, that is en-TIRELY possible...
If Phil is looking for the unit that plays well in the triangle, it is ALSO entirely possible that Vlad's ability to spread the floor will create adequate spacing for the 3 STARS to operate.
But don't take my word for it...wait to see.

I'm BAAACCCKKKKK!!!
