I happen to turn on the TV, and it was on ESPN, the VT v FSU game
It is in the 3rd quarter
The other anouncer just told a story of a player who in a prior game, had his pinky stuck in an opposing players face mask, and the finger actuactally broke off, and became detached.
The player went to the side lines, had the detached part of the finger removed, and then the player then stayed in the game for 2 more quarters, before having his finger reattached.
This cause Matt Millen to recall a story, which he prefaced with...
"I remember a player I played with who went thru a similar thing, and he might regret it..."
Millen then went on to tell a story about how in team meetings, when Ronnie Lott was off guard, Matt Millen would flick the end of his amputated finger, and it would drive Lott nuts.
To me, this stuck me as a horrible thing to do to a person, and, is reveling of Millens character. To do this is low enough, but then to joke/brag about it on the air? Just unbelieveable to me.
Matt Millen is a horrible human being
