anyone got DR DRE POWERBEATS? im planning on getting one of those but dont know if they are worth the money.

I tried them at the Apple Store and at Best Buy. My opinion is that it's just a lot of Bass - I'm not really impressed, especially with the price. Sadly, a lot of people will buy it because their friends tell them to and because they think that because Dr. Dre's name is on it, it must be good.

I hear they are great headphones. The only negative is they lack bass.

Really thinking of getting these cause of the over the ear design which helps a lot in the gym.
Is there any alternatives that anyone knows of that might not be as pricey but that sound good? I currently use a pair of Skull Candy & they've done a good job & held up quit well.

I agree with this
Just came in to say that if you're serious about sound [not just the OP], then you would never consider earbuds. I wouldn't drop >$25 on earbuds. No way in hell.
And also this lol

I much prefer earphones/earbuds. I don't like the over-the-ear kind. Why? Because it warms the area too much, and I can't really wear it for long periods of time. I also don't want to invest a ton into speakers because I live with people.

Believe it or not, these...

They are technically noise cancelling 'buds, but the best thing about them is the sound quality. Very good highs, and awesome bass. The only drawback is that you have to use a battery.

Bass can be heavy at times. I tweak my EQ presets in itunes to get the best sound out of every track.
They even have a mic. plus they don't need a battery.

First and foremost, don't ever buy Skullcandies, they're like a michael bay film, flash yes but depth wise? nah.
Dre Beats is good
if you're on a budget
Sennheiser/Bose
