Thoughts? Is it a prequel? Reboot? Maybe a sequel? (not the Dante we know)


Looks like a prequel and an origin story to me. And Dantes sword grabbing the car looks like an equivalent to Nero's devil bringer. Fans are divided on what they think of this trailer, personally I LOVED IT! Devil may Cry needed a shakeup..

I guess im in the minority who LOVES this new direction. It's definantly 1 shot thing to establish an origin. I don't see why his look is such a huge concern to people. I don't get an emo vibe from him at all. I get a more bad [expletive] don't give an F vibe from him. Dante's never picked sides, but he's always leaned towards the good but this Dante seems like he doesn't care. You can see it in his eyes especially, he just looks out of control and i dig it. The gameplay looks like it's going to be ridiculous too, i mean using the environment to fight enemies? Better hand to hand combat? A more agile Dante potentially? The rehab centre, the city he's is really cool. And we get to see Virgin again and potentially Sparda himself. How cool would that be?

but this trailer....interesting to say the least...i like the OG devil may cry better.

this absolutely sucks, first they kicked dante off with that stupid kid named nero, then they'll do him fab-5 style? not gonna buy it
