Does anybody here play Star Wars The Old Republic? I do, and I play on the Jedi Covenant server.

There really is no separation with the Force; depends on how a force-sensitive individual applies it (plus their beliefs/philosophies).

For example, Force lightning is normally only used by Sith but Jedi can and have used it too. It's seen as an offensive application of the Force though and Jedi are supposed to be defensive.

I've read that the Sith are not as good as Jedi with regards to force-healing. Possibly because it's not an aggressive/offensive application of the Force

Assault spec for the Vanguard dps spec. The expansion rocks! The new operation / raid "Scum and Villany" is long! I have a few of my guys at 85 and 90 valor, but I kind of gave up on pvp a while before 2.0 hit.

Sorry to hear it. The F2P model is kind of restrictive, but it can be enjoyable if you purchase some of the unlocks. I pay month to month, but I recently saw that you can buy the 60 day prepaid card and get a good deal. (If you find them at the right price)

Great to hear that you're enjoying it still. Tell me about it. Being a veng/immo jug and carnage marau kinda sucks now when most of your teammates are rage. One of the reason why i stopped playing. I never loved the Ops back then til I started doing it because of boredom. Got the Rakata set and then the BH set. Question, what's the top tier armors now there brother?

I know some of the GM's in swtor. Crazy guys. Hahaha.

Ok, Rakata is "58", and Blackhole is "61" ... The top tier stuff right now is "72" I can't think of the name of it right now. I have full "69" gear, and like 2 pieces of "72"...

Ops can be fun, if you are with a group that is not too serious. My guild has a few groups. Our progression content group, which is pushing, and our other guys group. They will run what they can, and get geared. Overall, I find progressing fun, but I am very laid back.

Dulfy.net is a good place to look at the new gear. They have the new content up as well.

Yoda is always viewed as the most knowledgeable and insightful Jedi. But he was wrong throughout all 6 episodes about the most important fact. Obi Wan Kenobi told Yoda that Anakin Skywalker would return balance to the Force and defeat the Darkside. And he did. But he didnt do so until 20+years later when his son Luke forced Darth Vadar to love him and lose the grip the Dark Side had on him. In the very end it was a revived Anakin (not Vadar) that throws Emperor Palpatine to his death. Not Luke. Luke only got the assist for enabling his father to have the opportunity to kill Palpatine. So Obi Wan was right all along and Yoda doubted and showed his objection for Anakin in all 6 episodes.

Yoda was going by the rule that Anakin was too old to train plus he sensed fear in him. Obi-Wan would have still trained Anakin if the council chose otherwise. Anakin did fulfil the prophecy but like you said...it didn't happen until after he became Vader, not until after he had murdered so many Jedi.

If Sidious did indeed influence the midi-chlorians then he did so at his own eventual peril.

Ops is fun brother especially when you're drunk and you're the healer. Hahaha. KP Nightmare was the shiznit before they release Explosive Conflict and Terror from Beyond (I stopped playing after this). I think the Dread Guard Armor is what I was referring too. Also man, read Malgus' book. It's really good.

Anything involving midi-chlorians immediately loses all credibility with me.

this is how we fixed things in swtor (stuck/xp/creds/valor/comms) problems. The program was made, and maintained by us. we call it the happy headache version since it's easy to look at. but once in the database, looking at pure numbers and codes, it gets nasty

30 years ago today I was waiting in line the biggest line I'd ever seen at the time at Big Newport theatre here in California to see "Return Of The Jedi".  I was over-excited, amped up beyond belief and a little sad that Star Wars was coming to an end.  (Little did I know then the legs the franchise would have for the rest of my life)

The audience cheered wildly at the opening scrawl, was drop dead quiet when it started, everyone oohed and aahed when we finally got to see Jabba The Hutt, a near frenzy when Han fell out of the carbonite on Jabba's wall, laughs at all the right spots, cheering throughout the entire final battle (especially when Vader threw the Emperor over the rails - to this day never heard a cheer that loud in a theatre quite the same - it was close to a sports crowd level of sound)

And when it ended there was about a 5 minute standing ovation, more tears than you would expect and a feeling that maybe everything in the world will be alright after all.

Anyway - 30 years - wow.
