When in the last decade has the trendy off-season team made it to the superbowl? Let alone win it all? History is against you.

GO PANTHERS!!!! 4 real watch out for our defense... It's going to tear things up.
Fun Fact for you guys -- The Last like 5 or so years whomever has taken 3rd place in the NFC South the previous year won the division the next year. You know who took 3rd last year? PANTHERS!

Throw in a top D in the league, then the best running back combo and a top WR we're fine.

Yeah and I've even watched him going back to his days at UCLA and OSU, he's not a bad QB but I don't think he's necessarily the guy you want starting for more than a season or two until Clausen develops. I don't mean to hate on the Panthers, some teams do manage to skate by with a good defense and explosive ground attack but that kind of philosophy can get you so far, you guys need nothing short of an elite level play from Moore to even think about winning the division. Wildcard is possible but highly improbable imo.
Also as a postive side note I'd like to point out Jon Beason as the best linebacker nobody talks about, I hear everyone clamor about Patrick Willis but I ask what does he do that Beason can't? People might not actually know but Beason is far superior than Willis in coverage.

Oh okay, gotcha. I get that though I think Moore is a good QB better than some worse than some but he can get the job done. The thing we really need is another WR outside of Steve Smith and so far no one has stepped up. I'm not saying we'll go to the playoffs or anything that was just a fun fact I pointed out. Also last year we had like the hardest schedule in the NFL or one of the highest I can't remember the exact number. This year we have one of the easiest in the NFL which doesn't hurt at all, so I wouldn't say the division it out of reach.
And finally someone has noticed Jon Beason. This dude seriously is a freaking BEAST, and I wouldn't trade any LB in the entire NFL for him. He's extremely under-rated, and you put him on a bigger team I think many people would consider him the best LB in the entire NFL.

The difference is that I know my Raiders aren't gonna make it. No constant heartbreak here.Getting to the postseason is better than no postseason at all

I hope the Raiders make some noise... they look promising.

Being on a not-so-great team in a small market can have that effect, but fortunately most knowledgeable football fans know Beason is the real deal.
