Disinterest isn't an excuse for this loss. We got outplayed by the Utah Jazz and refused to play any defense. Just like Sunday.

It's not the full excuse, but it's one of them (and not disinterest at 100% by the way but a portion) along with the others you mentioned as well, but that's just my opinion and a few others. Obviously you and RD don't see the same, that's fine.

Kobe's explanation is Lakers basically not trying: "We're B.S.'ing the last two games."

odom and bynum expressed similar sentiments.

Translation

"We didn't give the energy and focus to this game like we should have. We were Bull [expletive]ting the games. Had we taken this as seriously as a playoff game we would have had a different outcome. We sucked. [expletive] Happens"
"The way Steve is as a teammate, the way he sets the tone, the way the team kind of takes on his persona. As a coach, that's the best thing in the world. It's easy to coach. He's taking care of the chemistry. You just coach."

Yeah, they BS'ed the Utah game just a week ago, enough to come back from being down nearly 20, winning and extending their record to an eventual 17-1, then they go ahead and decide to lose against an actual playoff team (Denver) on national TV because they feel like it...lol.

Kobe is lying, or he's absolutely stupid.

This is totally unacceptable. Losing to one of the worst teams in the NBA at home when we're chasing #1 seed, this is BS.

Arguably the greatest franchise ever
