He brought it upon himself. FAR too cocky, disrespectful, & unprofessional and doesn't throw enough punches at all.

Broner tried to [expletive] Maidana in the ass early so Maidana got him back later & [expletive]ed him up all over the ring period. Lol.

He gave respect and congratulated him before the judges scorecards were read. Broner never got into a rhythm out there. He showed heart, he fought back with some pride and had to dig deep. . It's how he deals with defeat now. Many of the all time greats have suffer loses. What really made them great, though, is how they responded. And we will have to see with him. It will make him stronger and a better fighter. He can still be a great fighter.

^ That's true and I know he's your boy, but you still should stay & give the interview. If it's a close fight it's more understandable, but when you get beat down as badly as he did and the result is obvious, you've gotta' be a better sport, stay professional, and give the damn interview. B-Hop said it well:

Yeah thats my boy but I too thing he is far too cocky and disrespectful at times. But that is who he is and he aint changing. Yeah I think he should have stayed and gave the interview but it was his first lost and may be he felt too embarrassed to stay. When you're so used to winning and when you loss for the first time ever in your career it can be difficult. Hop is def correct too but I've seen him do it too tho. Dawson fight.

Overrated. A really good pressure fighter will beat him.

He already lost to Ponce a while back. He tries so hard to be like Floyd inside and outside the ring.

Broner resume is overrated as [expletive]. The best fighter he's fought is Demarco. Demarco is good but by no means is he a "Great" fighter. and then Ponce de leon who many people felt he lost that fight.
Rees sure as hell isn't a great fighter either. Who has he fought? The only fighter he has fought that somewhat has a name is Kotelnyk and he lost that fight. Like cano said records can be misleading. Especially fighters from europe who have never stepped foot in the US.

It's def. time for Broner to step up. He has the skills and talent to do it. He should move up to 140 that division is stacked. Can you imagine a Broner vs Brandon Rios fight  or vs Matthysse or vs Danny Garcia [expletive] even vs Amir Khan. Lots of good matchups at 140.

So broner just ducked the entire 140 division.

I hope those fights still get made eventually..

So broner finally steps up to someone that actually has power and that's all she wrote.

This lose will make Broner better. Yes he's cocky & full of himself but boxing needs guys like him. They all can't be golden boys. On the real, I like those kinds of fighters. But the guy absolutely didn't deserve to get trash thrown on him while he was walking to the back. Those people wouldn't do that to his face.

Do y'all think this is more genuinely from Broner himself or mostly PR work? I think the ladder although I'd honestly like to believe the former.

^ I don't even have twitter so I'm far from an expert on distinguishing whether certain accounts are legitimate or not, but that is amusing either way.

Do you ever watch Jim Lampley's show on HBO called The Fight Game I believe?

It was on this past weekend and there was a lot of discussion on how Top Rank & Golden Boy just can't seem to get together and make their fighters fight one another to make for even potentially greater fights. Sadly they said expect more of the same for the upcoming year.

They showed a tweet by Oscar basically inviting Bob Arum to come sit down with him and work on changing this, but pretty much dispelled it as BS.

One thing that was pretty obvious to me as I was watching the whole show was how biased Lampley was (no surprise I guess working for HBO). He hardly talked much about any of the Golden Boy or Showtime boxers. That was disappointing, but expected.

That's Floyd.

Funny how he's using money as a phone :P lol

Anyway about Broner.

People can say what they want but they pay attention to him.  Broner loses and that's all anyone is talking about, all it does is get him more attention in his next fight to see how he bounces back.

In the past few days even since this fight has anyone heard a darn thing or a bit of attention sent Maidana's way?

Nope.. the story has been all about Broner.

So you can say the hype train is done, but the truth is it's bigger now than ever.

For those that are saying "Oh Broner finally fought somebody real and lost"

look at this record

432-91-23

That's the record of everyone Broner has fought.   For a guy that's won 3 championships in 3 different weight divisions that's pretty freaking solid actually.

Outside of the ring antics should be put to rest, I agree with that 100%.  But I can't knock his accomplishments as a boxer.  He honestly should fight at 140 and stop trying to mess around like he's a 147 pounder.

Yay you beat Malignaggi who has no punch, but Maidana is a natural 147 pounder who can give and take a punch.  Not the kind of guy you want to fight. Broner imo should go for the 140 pound belt next.  But he's likely going to rematch Maidana again.

Floyd said it best when he said of the things Broner needs to learn, in terms of his antics and hanger ons.

The difference between me and Broner is this, you got to know when to turn it on and when to turn it off.  You know, with me, I'm more like, okay, this guy ain't on my level, but I still respect him as a man.  When people lose respect for you, there's nothing else. Amd tje tjomg with Adrien Broner is this, I think sometimes, and Broner knows this firsthand, people can sometimes tell you what you want to hear.  I'm not going to tell you what you want to hear; I'ma tell you the truth.  There's boundaries and limitations on everything except for making money.

Much respect to Floyd.

Floyd SR wants to train Broner. IMO I think Floyd SR is exactly the person who needs to train Broner, and if he trains Broner i think a lot will change. Floyd SR was right what he said in these videos.
