Anybody ever seen this show?

Very strange... haha...

Sorry, 'Conchords' fans, your 'Flight' is delayed

Whitney Matheson at USA Today's "Pop Candy" reports that the second season of HBO's "Flight of the Conchords" has been delayed until early 2009. That's a drag. But she adds that the Conchords are due to release their first full-length album in April. They've already released one EP, "The Distant Future," on Sub Pop.

& for the record, I hear a ton of people saying I had never heard of this show at all, & I just watched recently & liked it.. blah blah.. hear that from a ton.. which tells me, the marketing towards this show does not do a good enough job at putting this out in the mainstream & letting enough people know about it. It's VERY underrated & truly, one of the most ORIGINAL things you will ever see on television, that's for sure.

They are definitely geniuses. I just love the Prince-like attitudes/style as well as a lot of David Bowie.. haha..

Does anyone here know how often they tour? & what are usually the price ranges for their shows & length of time?

Also, did anyone else particularly enjoy the ARF ARF episode?

One OF my favorite shows on tv
the arf arf episode was funny but my all time favorite is the mugged episode

Murray: It's too dangerous out there at night.
Jemaine: We go around walking around at night all the time.
Murray: Well, you know, anything could happen. You could get run over, pickpocketed, um, fall down a manhole, bump into... people, murdered... Imagine that! Or even just ridiculed.
Jemaine: We've never been ridiculed.
Bret: No.
Murray: You haven't? Well, that's a surprise. I get ridiculed all the time.

^ You watch it? What's your favorite episode so far in season 2? Overall, I've enjoyed season 1 much much better so far, but that's not a complete slight to season 2. It's still watchable to me.

My favorite episode BY FAR though so far in season 2 and possibly all time or up there for sure, was the episode titled 'Same Girl'. It was about 2 or 3 weeks ago. It dealt with epileptic dogs mostly. Fantastic stuff. Some of the music reminded me a bit of the Beatles, Queen, and Prince. Here are two vids from that episode:

^^Agree wth you Chicano, season 1 WAY BETTER, but this season is still pretty funny. I felt episode 5 was the the best episode by far. It was the episode where Jermain stated to date the Austrialian girl, heres my favorite song from the season so far.

^ Oh definitely, plus a lot of people would easily argue season 1 was much better. A lot of classics there.

Yes! do yourself a favor and buy season 1. It is 100 times better then season 2.

Flight of the Conchords Coming To Rock Band

http://www.rockband.com/forums/showthread.php?t=165648

I want 'Humans Are Dead', the epileptic dogs, and Fashion.

Actually no, 'Love Is Your Weapon of Choice' would be awesome, prefer that over Fashion.

^ Really? Daaaamn how lucky! How much was it or was it somehow free? Did you take any pictures or video or anything at all? Any footage? What are some of their most famous songs they performed or ones you enjoyed most? How far away were you seated?

they didn't really allow pictures or video, i think my gf snuck a few but it was dark (bowl is open roof) so they weren't good or anything...she was the one who really wanted to see them...i had barely started watching the show, but they did the two you posted, and she said they did basically everything a fan would have wanted them to do

tickets cost me about 45 bucks a piece, and i was seated in the front of section H

Posted Image

i got free tickets to ben harper (who i hadn't really heard of at the time, but i liked his music) that were in the pit - U, standing area, no actual seating. right in front of the stage - that was pretty dope

^ That's awesome. Do you by any chance remember if they did 'Epileptic Dogs' specifically?

& Ben Harper, he's pretty solid. My favorite song of his by far is 'Give A Man A Home'

Song & video as well is/are deep & powerful, but the song isn't completely exactly just about homelessness. It's about a lot of other things. Ever heard it before? Did he perform this one by any chance?

I actually first heard it when Heath Ledger passed away. On CNN's 'Larry King Live', they were running like a tribute video to Heath with a slideshow of images of his career in film as well as personal pictures & this song was playing in the background. I definitely shed more than a tear.
