my gawdddddd this is [expletive]ed up man [expletive]en umps [expletive]
Umps had nothing to do with it.
Scioscia gambled, Aybar missed the bunt, Willits got tagged out. Varitek tagged Willits out and the ball was knocked free when the glove hit the ground.
Angels choked. They have no one to blame but themselves.

I could be a jerk and hammer the Angels right now. But im not. Angel fans have enough to piss and moan about until spring training.

And they are lucky we aren't. All season long on CL, you heard a lot of Angel fans(Weezy, and popo weren't one of there people) rip us.

Scioscia did nothing wrong. Aybar missed a bunt, MISSED a bunt. You don't come up through the organization and not know how to bunt. It was a fastball it's not like it was a knuckleball. Aybar missed the bunt and it cost us the run.
If anyone should be blamed for this game, it's Teixeira. Yes he made that catch in the 9th, but Frankie would have been pitching and I doubt Kotsay hits that shot. He had multiple opportunities with RISP in this game and drove in none.
As for the series, we showed everyone once again why we suck in postseason. Except this time needing a big bat is no excuse. We played no defense at all. Nobody came up with a big hit aside from Torii this whole series. Shouldn't have even gone into extras last night. Boston isn't a better team, but they can get the big hits which the Angels fail to do every single year. Every year it seems the Angels make that one crucial mistake and it costs them big time. We haven't had a year since 2002 where we've gotten that big hit when we needed it.
Imagine if the Angels followed through with the trade for Eckstein. He would have been huge for us like he has been every postseason.
Everyone in the building knew the squeeze was coming, it was a 2-0 count and Aybar had A clutch hit the night before. He's a slap hitter why not let him try to hit a single. It was was to obvious of a call and his plan badly back fired. Anyways it's over so lets see what they do this off-season it will be huge.

We gotta keep Tex. He was amazing with the Angels and consistent on the post season. I hope vlad is back aswell, but I don't care if K-rod walks.

Why not let him try and get a single? Maybe it's because he has 2 hits the entire series. He is good at bunting so obviously why not try the squeeze. They just got unfortunate. If the squeeze is done properly it will work every time and in this case it didn't. If the infield is in, and he bunts properly, he can still easily score.Everyone in the building knew the squeeze was coming, it was a 2-0 count and Aybar had A clutch hit the night before. Boston knew the squeeze was on and the 3rd baseman was playing close so it would been a risky play. Aybar had 2 hits but it was in his last 4 ab's.
Offseason goal like Vap said- Keep Tex.

Reggie was also the runner on 3rd. If it's executed right, he would have scored. I don't blame Mike for his decision because thats how we've played all season long. Everyone has expected it all season long and it's worked so why would it be any different now?Boston knew the squeeze was on and the 3rd baseman was playing close so it would been a risky play. The thing is that Im sure the Red Sox infield was playing in anyways to give them a chance at the plate if a ground ball was hit. it just wasnt the third baseman.
