Scioscia did nothing wrong. Aybar missed a bunt, MISSED a bunt. You don't come up through the organization and not know how to bunt. It was a fastball it's not like it was a knuckleball. Aybar missed the bunt and it cost us the run.Scioscia made such a predictable call, he's an idiot.
If anyone should be blamed for this game, it's Teixeira. Yes he made that catch in the 9th, but Frankie would have been pitching and I doubt Kotsay hits that shot. He had multiple opportunities with RISP in this game and drove in none.
As for the series, we showed everyone once again why we suck in postseason. Except this time needing a big bat is no excuse. We played no defense at all. Nobody came up with a big hit aside from Torii this whole series. Shouldn't have even gone into extras last night. Boston isn't a better team, but they can get the big hits which the Angels fail to do every single year. Every year it seems the Angels make that one crucial mistake and it costs them big time. We haven't had a year since 2002 where we've gotten that big hit when we needed it.
Imagine if the Angels followed through with the trade for Eckstein. He would have been huge for us like he has been every postseason.
