Love college football.

I'm excited to see any game I can catch honestly. I think Pitt will beat Utah, Boise St beating VT in Blacksburg? I don't see that happening, TCU should take care of Oregon St but it may be close, LSU and North Carolina could be a toss-up but I think I'll go with the SEC on this one...close low scoring game though I think.

Story of my life with college football, very few games get air on ESPN Latin America, now that I have ESPN HD hopefully I'll be able to catch games other than bowl games.

Haters gonna hate.

I've been an SC fan since the day I was born. I'm not going to shy away from the team because ONE player and his family got greedy and couldn't wait for the NFL. The sanctions were unfair and I expect they will get reduced during the appeal.

Doesn't stop me from being an SC fan and nothing ever will. We had one of the top recruiting classes in the nation and this was the perfect year to actually have a bowl ban in my opinion. We have a lot of young players and SC is gonna be set up for the next 2-3 years to challenge for the National Title.

Not gonna happen. USC wins big

Yeh, SC is talented but it's not likely gonna be like it was when Pete was there.

Hmm, still just VT and Boise St though. I mean, I'll def be watching this no doubt but it's not like the national championship or anything.

Just watch. Kiffin was a big part of Pete's best years. There's no coincidence that when kiffin left, the offensive production declined. Plus we got defensive guru Monte kiffin as well.

People point to kiffins past coaching jobs but lets be real, raiders is a dark hole for any coach that goes there. And in the one year he was at Tennessee, they improved and did not decline. People also need to look at the coaches he has around him, some act like he is the only coach at SC.

True but this pits the Top 5/Top 10 teams together in the season opener for both teams...

If Boise State wins they COULD be in the National Championship at the end of the year. They have Oregon State @ Home and then after that there schedule is easy.

Ohio State/Bama will slip up too. Esp. if Ingram's injury turns out worse than just the first game of the season against SJSU.

Pete was the head coach. He was in charge. He recruited NFL caliber players to that program. I have no doubt about Monte's skills as a coach as he used to be the def coordinator for my Buccaneers but I don't think Kiffin is ready to be a head coach. He failed in Oakland and he does get sort of a pass on that on account of who the owner is; he failed in the SEC at Tennessee and it seemed like he quit on that team. He really hasn't done anything to deserve being the head coach of a prestigious football program like USC.
