It was a terrible performance by the USA team overall, not just LO ... Too much 1 on 1 basketball IMO. You can't play like this and expect something ... USA got lucky today. Now the rest of the world knows how frustrated we are with Lamar Odom.

Both teams scored only 9 points in the 4th but it was pretty breathtaking anyway. We're the only undefeated team in the group now though we're not playing so well...

This was the toughest game for USA. Next couple of games will be pretty easy, which can be a double-edged sword, 'cause you know the level of the competition in the quarterfinals will be a lot greater.
They responded well after being tested. Every game had/has a test and so far they pass it either that game or they show what they learned in the next game. Overall I think Chandler/Love may need to start against the bigger bodies like a Splitter. Meaning I think Lamar should be the 6th man lol...

I don't even know why Tyson Chandler is on the team. I don't even know why LO is on the team for that matter. At least LO rebounds the ball I guess.
Pretty much. Durant is a beast though so all is good...

Billups and Odom are supposed to be providing the veteran leadership, but, Im not sure either of them can really fill that role...

Chauncey is providing leadership that he can (when he wants), LO isn't, you can see how Chauncey looks to find Durant, when they combine great things happen. The problem with Billups is that he's stubborn, if you make a play on him, he'll go right at ya on the other side of the court at the next possesion and so on if you deny him his revenge. When he plays real PG, USA level upgrades, the thing is he isn't doing that much. LO doesn't have the leader mentality, so you can't ask for much more.
A J-Kidd would be GREAT for this team.

He made some dumb mistakes as well, but I guess it's all good when you're the best player on your team and you carry the offensive load ..
Durant's defense and playmaking have been great! He does eff up but he is the heart and soul of the team...

Close game and I'm glad it happened, maybe these guys will wake up a bit and see that we can be beat if we play dumb and don't play as a team.

And team USA has no ball movement with only 8 assist and too much 1 on 1 ball.
Lastly they were lucky in getting some breaks imagine if Splitter and their pg didn't get into foul trouble and Vajerao played?
