Am I missing something? Why are people picking average/below average teams?


The point of the league is to pick a team and then guide them through multiple seasons. Kind of like Dynasty Mode/The Association in video games, except this is more centered around their stats and boxscores and stuff. Each week, we simulate a few times (like 3-4), with each sim covering like 15 days or so. Each season has 8 sims, so we usually finish up a season in less than a month.

Then there's drafts, working out players, etc. etc. Pretty much, it's easy to build up a team from scratch in this league, and sometimes that's more fun than winning outright B)
