Its between Curry, Love, Gordon and Westbrook.

Westbrook should be the one to go but I think the cut would be Gordon:(

I like gordon, he has a better range than westbrook and team USA doesn't need any more penetrators, they already have rose and rondo.

They need to cut Granger. I have a feeling Team USA will try and get away with having just Chandler and Odom at center, though. Love may be hurting a little more than we know of, could have an actual injury (not just bumping his head) that kept him on the bench against Lithuania and out of the Spain game.

Rondo said he had family matters to attend to. So he was the last cut, either he cut himself or he cut himself before he was gonna be cut...

I think Rondo knew he was getting cut so he "resigned."

He played the first two games and got a lot of minutes. Last game they decided to sit him. Completely weird but if D. Rose/Westbrook keep turning the ball over every game will be a dog fight...

Rondo just did not have a place.

The other point guards have better offensive games, and in the international game, Rondo is not needed as a Super-Athletic defender.

Steph Curry is much more important.
He is also a PG, but, he is a shooter.

Plus, Rondo looked so weird out of his Green getup...

Rondo says he has personal reasons, I don't know if I beleive that. But these players just care about their teams, they don't give a rat's a.... about their country national team...

He stepped down cus he knew he was getting cut. Or at least thought he was getting cut. It's a shame because seeing him and Gordon in the backcourt was a defensive pleasure. But the coaches are looking for a versatile offense, and his biggest weakness (no midrange) cost him a spot.

Exactly. The World Basketball Championship is to the Olympic ball tournament what the Olympic soccer tournament is to the World Cup.

Really? Because I think that the Spanish would definitely trade in their FIBA world championship for gold medals. Posted Image

I'm not sure if the importance of the two actually matters, because you're playing for your country in BOTH.

It would be nice to have the 2, but we wouldn't trade.

this is what matters to many NBA players.

Proves my point that Rondo is overrated...He is good in that System, but most pass-first PGs would be just as good, if not better. Put Jennings,Nash,Billups,Rose,Paul,Williams,Westbrook,Kidd on the C's they would be better off, b/c of outside threats, as well as savvy PG play

Again - this team, as currently constructed won't make it out of the second round of the playoffs, let alone the West or win the Finals.---fido on 2011 Lakers

To Americans the Olympics mean more. To those countries overseas the FIBA World Championships mean more. Just the different stance of countries. Dream Team what were they icons in? The Olympics. USA hasn't won gold in the World Championships since 94. I think that says it all...
