Team USA is getting a bit of hype, and has one of the top 5 players in the NBA on the team, but, i think there is a void of leadership.


Who are the 2 vets that this team will lean on?
Chancy Billups and Lamar Odom.


Not 2 guys who scream leadership...


Lamar has a whole career of screw ups, and mental mistakes, and now he is supposed to be leading Team USA? Lamar has trouble remembering things like you cannot walk the ball in bounds... And now we are expecting him to learn a whole new set of rules? And then lead the team?

And what of Billups?

A recent quote may shed light on his dedication to the game...

Billups was asked for his thoughts on the talents of Ricky Rubio, and he replied that he had never seen him play. I asked him: "What about the 2008 Olympic gold medal game (in which Rubio started for Spain against the Redeem Team)?" To which Billups replied: "I didn't see it."

Huh...


SO that is correct, YOU, have seen and studied more of Ricky Rubio then the Captain of Team USA.


Does that make you feel good?


I just feel like this roster is poorly built, and is lacking leadership, and is going to be relying on a bunch of 21 year olds who are going to be in over their heads...


I want us to Win Gold, but, i have no idea how we will... The Talent is there, but, is the drive?

I wouldnt be surprised if this team loses honestly we have mad talent and athleticism but our lack of size and chemistry seems like an issue to me. So I say silver

I think they will win gold. Pau isn't playing, Yau isn't playing. Tony Parker is sitting out, Dirk is sitting out. You should get the point. To not medal at all like two people picked they would have to have a team full of scrubs...

even tough kobe/lebron/wade aren't there, we still enough talent to come away with the gold. whether or not we work together and play a team game will be the real challenge.
