Totally true.

Well he is a laker, and he will be defended even if he is worse in some way.

People shouldn't be homers... it's ok to say other players are better than our players. :turrible:

I like Portland's team, but that whole "young" thing everyone's bragging about is exactly what will hold them back. They looked mighty immature last night.

You don't win with kids.

Now in 3 years, if they can hold on to everyone, then you're talking a challenge.

Fernandez looked alright last night but Nissan, but I don't think it was a laughable difference in favor of Rudy.

Fernandez = 29 min / 16 pts on 5/10 shooting with 4/4 FTs
Sasha =13 min / 5 pts on 2/6 shooting with 0 FTs

Looks like the same game to me offensively. Defensively, Sasha was on his game last night whereas Fernandez had plenty of headless chicken moments on D.

I'm not being a homer when I say that you can't say a player is better than another when one's played 1 game total in the NBA. Give Fernandez sometime, he'll be alright, but I'll take a guy that's played in the NBA longer and knows the rigors of the league while still producing over a 1 game mediocre performance of a rookie.

Either way (like popo said) - Lakers won. That's all that matters.

Sasha would have better numbers on a young team like the blazers...scoring any points on a team this loaded is hard for a bench player.
rudy is better than bynum b/c he doubled up on points LOL

Again - this team, as currently constructed won't make it out of the second round of the playoffs, let alone the West or win the Finals.---fido on 2011 Lakers

Rudy is better than Sasha anyday of the week. Stop being biased. It's not about points, it's about skillset.

Rudy can take it to the whole which Sasha can't.
Rudy can handle the ball which Sasha is very limited.
Rudy can handle PG, whereas Sasha is garbage as PG.

Sasha is better in defense and 3pt shooting.

But overall Rudy is easily the better player.

Rudy is a better 2 guard as well. His 3pt shooting isn't way off, and he can take the ball to the rack.

Sasha is a great role player, but stop making him out to be something he's not. I'll take Rudy anyday over Sasha.
