This is not what the book is about. This is the stuff of "Days Of Our Lives", not a show about surviving the zombie apocalypse.
Sad waste of excellent source material. If you haven't read the book you should, it will show you what this show could've been and it what it certainly isn't.
There's character development and there's melodrama and this show falls on the side of melodrama far more than it does character development. We should already know the characters by now, which we do for the most part. The development part of them is over - and it should be. Hard and fast rule of scriptwriting is that within the first 20 pages (or 20 minutes as a page is typically read as a minute of a show in script form) you should know your characters and their plight. TV operates differently, but still the first season is made for that "meeting the characters" stuff, which the show did. Sure new characters come along, but not every character needs their past explained at every turn (unless you're out of solid material to run with, which it seems the writers may be right now). The audience should not be going through this yet again - and at the terrible pace its set at.
It's time to get the plot into action now. Like I said, they're creating melodrama that is designed to drag the show out to the amount of episodes ordered. Bad idea, no strike that - terrible idea. The show feels labored and its tough on the actors to not come across so ridiculously over-dramatic when the script is nothing but.
The show has created some major flaws for itself - and its really, really sad.
Talking about who got her pregnant - man, pitiful.

I'm gonna say Hershel has something to do with them. Maybe he's working on them. He always real protective of the house & everything/everyone with it.what those walkers in the barn for?
I was hoping Daryl didn't lose it & go crazy after those talks/visions he had with his brother. Especially the necklace he made.
