Sundays on AMC 7ish.
Usually replays come on right before new episodes.

Thomas Wilson is NOT the CDC guy - come on now.
I could have sworn it was him.

From what I know Season 2 will be late summer at the very earliest. But Halloween time seems more likely.

I'm also amazed at how much they're able to get in as far as explicit (mainly violent) content for something being on tv, eventhough its cable.
Man this show is a major tease. I want more as soon as possible, but boy are we gonna' have to wait quite a while to say the least. At least I can re-watch the episodes till then (in HD might I add) since I've got most of them on my DVR still and they're that damn good.
I've been wanting to know as well. Oh so curious.what did Jenner say to Grimes as he left the CDC building?

An order of 6 episodes is pretty standard when a network or channel has no idea at the reception of a show. Think of how much it costs to produce this thing. if you're unsure of how the public will take it you don't want to sink even more money into what is then perceived as a shaky proposition.
Family Guy, along with plenty of others got the same treatment initially.
Plus, with only 6 episodes you're hooked in or you're not. It's a quick look at your numbers and demographics and those who want more will come back despite the short run. Through anticipation, word of mouth, promotion of next season and the re-running of season 1, AMC will gain even more momentum for the next run.
No ball dropped whatsoever - just the way TV is done.

Not a dropped ball.

I know what you mean. But with TWD being a drama IMO it was hurt by such a short season. Can you imagine something like Dexter in 6 episodes? In dramas it's about depth, this felt watered down into 6 episodes. Why introduce the CDC? I also hated how the guy found his family so quick
To me the best episode was the pilot, would you agree?
Rubicon(another good show) on AMC got 12 or 13 episodes in season 1. It's not like AMC doesn't have anything good and can't afford to take a chance, it's got mad men and breaking bad. The uniqueness of TWD warranted a full season.

To be fair, I can't make a judgement on TWD yet because i have only seen the first 3 episodes, so for all i know i may agree or disagree with Whatusaid.
