"He's the best player in the game. It's just that simple. There's nothing that Kobe Bryant can't do. He will defend your best player. He will shoot from the perimeter. He will get all in your mug, he will do whatever it takes. He is the most complete basketball player in the game today, bar none. He has an assassin's mentality." -- Stephen A. Smith

not going to lie, before the steroid allegations and issues came up, he was easily one of my top 3 favorite players. that dude was fun to watch and what he did was nothing short of amazing. then it all went out the window, or at least everything he did after 2000.

pre-2000 he was still a top 10 talent though.

take joe mauer off my list.

how could i forget one of my favorite dodgers of all time!

adrian beltre.

dude got robbed of the 2004 NL MVP award. barry bonds got it instead. but beltre hit .334 w/48HR and 121 RBI and led the dodgers to the playoffs that year.

he's currently having a great year with the red sox(.339 BA/16HR/61RBI).

There's gold and it's haunting and haunting; it's luring me on as of old; Yet it isn't the gold that I'm wanting So much as just finding the gold; It's the great, big, broad land 'way up yonder, It's the forest where silence has lease; It's the beauty that thrills me with wonder, It's the stillness that fills me with peace.

I love the way Ryan looks at the ball after he knows he's knocked it out the park.

Least liked of all-time has to be Beanie Williams. Seems like everytime i'd turn on a Yankee game the guy would be getting a hit.
