he's next in line to take over the franchise, actually he was the first director casted for the revamp of the whole batman franchise but warner thought his scripts and story were too dark. exactly what batman needs

Actually the story is that Darrens scripts were not too dark but too different from batman

In Darrens script he had batman as a homeless vigilante and that was just scratching the surface of how much he went away from the comics

Nolan stayed somewhat faithful while maintaining the correct dark tone and character development

Darren has to buy into keeping batman as himself before I think his version will be on either Burton or nolans level

are you sure buddy? cause i read about his interview and the basis of his script was batman's comic, batman:year one. he just added up a bit more of a dark twist
