Now that Inception is out in theaters and Christopher Nolan is presumably free to work full-time on Batman 3, are you ready for the next round of rumors about the superhero sequel? Too bad, because you're getting them anyway. First Showing has heard from a source who has laid eyes on a "casting grid" that names The Riddler as a character in Batman 3, and has Joseph Gordon-Levitt's name alongside the character as an "interested" actor.

what about this dude? it just seems like he fits any villain role almost perfectly. idk who he'd be but i wouldn't mind seeing him in a villainous role.

I was thinking the same thing. I think it would be a pleasant surprise to add that modern, younger twist like they did with the Joker, going from Jack to Heath and now Carrey to JGL.

I wouldn't complain if the role went to MCH or Depp either.

Makes sense. He's done a lot of good work( The Lookout, Brick, 500 days Assuming Inception ). I'd be kinda surprised if he didn't have a role in the next film. I'm confident he could pull off any role.

Hell I even liked him in GI Joe.

It looks like the Batman 3 villain rumors have started up again! The first recent rumor to hit the web was that Joseph Gordon-Levitt was being considered to take on the role of The Riddler in Batman 3. It definitely seems like The Riddler will in fact be the villain of Chistopher Nolan's next installment of Batman, but will Selina Kyle a.k.a. Catwoman be joining The Riddler as a villain in the film?

That's what a source from CBM is saying. Someone apparently got a look at some "script notes" from the film, which is being written by Chris and Jonathan Nolan. It's really hard to believe that script notes are just laying around, but you never know.

"According to this guy, these script notes made a few references to Selina Kyle as a character. Kyle, as every Bat fan knows, becomes Catwoman. So if this is true, expect to see her don the leathers, as its unlikely Nolan would bring in Kyle but not her villainous alter ego, this being his last Bat movie."

We will treat this as a rumor for now, but it will make for a fun topic of discussion. I guess I could see Nolan using this character in the film. After all, there has to be a new female lead, and I don't think fans would mind seeing a new sexy Catwoman. Do you think Nolan would throw Selina Kyle into one of his Batman films? Are you even interested in seeing this character in the next Batman film? Share your thoughts below!

I suspect this wont be the last Batman 3 rumor we hear.

I think Robin Williams wouldn't have been a bad choice done right b/c he has played in some dark films.

However Levitt guy is a decent choice after watching inception.

The good news won't stop coming for Anne Hathaway: The fumbling princess turned A-lister has just been cast as Catwoman in Christopher Nolan's "The Dark Knight Rises."...Hathaway reportedly beat out Jessica Biel and Keira Knightley for the gig, opposite Christian Bale and a previously announced Tom Hardy.

I love me some Anne Hathaway. I think she's a solid actress and really beautiful....but WTF is this? Ugh, just gonna have to roll with it for in Nolan we trust.

or that they're trying to establish some distance from Halle Berry's widely panned performance in her "Catwoman" spinoff in 2004, or that the studio is trying to play a little coy with the announcement of an iconic Batman love-interest-c u m-villain.

My thoughts exactly. Nothing against Anne Hathaway at all, love her to bits. But I can't hide my disappointment. I was expecting someone talented who isn't mainstream and had instant sex appeal, *cough Eva Green. However, I trust no one more than Nolan. No way he lets this trilogy end in crap.

....in terms of what? lol, she's a horrible 'actress'. Pass. Only thing worse than Angelina or Megan Fox being casted as Catwoman is Jessica Biel. She would ruin the franchise and further make her intolerable.

she's an ok actress. You want "instant sex appeal"? Biel is the way to go.
