I think knowing who added a +1 to your post will be a bad idea, as members will most likely just "return the
favor" to them without really earning it. That's my opinion.

You're probably right though because returning a +1 may cause trouble. But just knowing who gave you a +1 would be awesome to say the least. Not everybody can track down all their posts.Yeah. Besides, most of the time than not, the poster who gave you the rep, says "+1".
I just like the idea of knowing what posts were repped, like many do on here. Real Deal, honestly, it sounds like a lot of trouble. Maybe create a poll to see if its a good idea?

But anyways, I myself would wanna know who gave me a +1 (cuz not everyone says so when they do), but if it does get outta hand where some members decide to be a lil [expletive] about it (sorry for the language, it ultimately describes what happens sometimes), then.. get rid of it. Easy as that.

I'm sorry but I'm against this. Why do you want to know so much who gave you a +1. You should be happy that you got a +1, swapping +1 because someone gave you one, won't make any sense. And people will spend their time trying to do that continuously.

its already bad enough that some ppl attack if they disagree w a post lol. if we add both knowing who gave +1 and putting in -1's also....this place will turn into hell.

Yea, that's how this site is, I agree. Only thing worse than having -1s you can see though, is secret -1s. That way people just gang up on others. If everyone can see it, that means no one will do it for no reason for fear of getting exposed/punished, people can only do it for bad posts.-1s will probably be more trouble

i still say leave it how it is, but allow the user to know which post was +1ed...
if the person leaving it wants them to know, they'll typically type "+1" in that thread.
