Hello TLN. How have you been? For those of you who dont know me, I used to be a member here on TLN and just like you guys I logged on everyday to see how my fellow Laker fans were feeling about Laker related issues. I joined somewhere around the 08' Playoffs and loved everything about TLN, the members, the topics, and the editors. After the Championship in 09' this place flooded with new members most of whom brought a different mentality to this place, and it wasn't a good one.
Everything began to be looked at with negative shades on, most of the members focused on the all the bad things and very little of the good things. I'd log in to TLN after Laker losses and the forums would be filled with "End Of The World" posts. "Theres no way Lakers can win with Fish", "Kobe's hurting our team", "Pau's still soft", you name it. Even after wins the negative nancy's still flooded the forums with their posts. I mean i couldn't believe it, I thought to myself do these guys actually think that we cant win the Championship because of a game we lost in January or November or March? It wasn't as fun to log onto TLN.
I haven't been here in about 5 or 6 months so i don't know if it has changed, maybe it has. Its not good guys, its really not. I just hope you guys understand that winning a Championship is a VERY, VERY hard thing to do and just because its happened in your lifetime a couple times doesn't mean it will happen again. The Lakers will play bad, they will have off games, they will be lazy for some games, but who here can say that they've given 100% in work/school everyday of their lives? I know i cant, and thats what basketball is, a job. Other companies(teams) get better, other employees(players) improve and sometimes your company is in a rut, but getting out it and becoming better is what its all about.
I hope this post doesn't come off as an "I told you so" post because thats not what it is. I enjoyed this Championship as much as any other won i've been alive for, maybe more, and i dont know how you negative TLN'ers can enjoy it when your always focused on the negatives. Thats what this post is about. I hope you guys change your ways and enjoy watching this team because who knows how long this will last. Im not saying to be happy when we lose games but theres a limit, and i think you guys know what the limit is.
So thanks TLN for having me, I hope that this post changes some mentalities on this site and if it doesn't then thats fine too. Go Lakers!
