The Nets are expected to use the third overall pick on Georgia Tech forward Derrick Favors, a source told ESPN.com's Andy Katz on Thursday morning.
The source claims New Jersey will opt to take Favors because they aren't guaranteed to land a power forward like Carlos Boozer or Amar'e Stoudemire in free agency.
The Nets also believe that Favors is a more tradeable asset than Syracuse's Wesley Johnson, who they were rumored to be looking at earlier this week.
