Jeter misses Playoff for first time in his career.

Sept. 24 (Bloomberg) -- The Boston Red Sox will get a chance to defend their World Series title after clinching a playoff berth and eliminating the New York Yankees from postseason contention in the process.

Do they or do they not have the highest payroll in baseball? What is it again? I know A-Rod makes more himself than the whole Florida Marlins team combined.
