It showed up last night right when I was going on my second prestige on Call of Duty 4!!!! I've only had ithe 360 for two years.

So I was thinking of getting another 360 for $199 to get an extra hard drive, while my old one is getting fixed.

Anyone else got the red ring of death?

URGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

I've had a 360 since release (on my 3rd 360 now, had technical problems) and I bought a PS3 last Thursday. I prefer the PS3.

On my 3rd 360, had this one for about a year. Had a Best Buy warranty so just took it into the store and got a new one right there on the spot. Kept my harddrive and all that.

PS3 since 2006. I can only remember a handful of freezes and/or hiccups and I leave it on for days on end. Built like a tank.

Something like 30 percent of all the older 360s and 10 percent of the newer ones get RROD. To me, that's ridiculous!
My computer is broken so I'm not on as much...

Anyway G, call soft, get it exchanged asap. 3yrs warranty on RROD.

Yeah... the one I'm using gets it every now and then, my older bro' bought a new one and so I'm stuck with the old one, but it's better than nothing, lol. I'm still able to use the new one though pretty much whenever I want, so either way, just that I have the old one with the ring of death every now & then in my room. The PS3 still shines as well though.

Thanks brother. I'll give you guys an update. By the way I have the TRUE 3 red rings of death. There's a difference, if you have 4 rings then you're fine. Just change the AV plug. But the 3 rings call for a total overhaul.

Microsoft will send me a box so I don't have to pay for shipping.

Yeah, I thought there was a true and false 3ROD

Here in Singapore, we could just bring the box down and exchange, of course an appointment has to be made prior.

All the best!

At one point the 360 fail rate was at %68!

Me personally, I was just saying that the 360 fail rate is unacceptable and the world of PS3 is available if he wants.
