Delete the post or something then, cuz that just means the one guy wrote "bump", you lock the thread and ruin the thread for all eternity for everyone else.
I would agree with that, but you would have to ask the mod who closed those threads in specific.

Does every locked thread disappear from our sight? Or can you choose to lock and keep in view of normal members or lock and move to some trash section?
You can keep it visible I beleive.

And as far as old topics go, there's no need to bump something by just searching for it and posting, "Bump." If you're going to bring back an old topic, have something to say in it.
No, that doesn't mean all of you should go do that tonight, either. I'm sure that generates a lot of excitement to go out and bump topics from 1987 (yeah, I know how some of our members act), but don't be ignorant. Over time, if an older topic pops up in your head and you have something to contribute to it, then search for it and post what you have.
