WOW. that is a bad call. he is blatantly out. there is nothing there that would leave you to believe he was safe. that sucks for the pitcher.

You know Joyce is actually one of the most liked umpires in the league. In a survey taken by MLB players before the season, Joyce was the #2 most liked umpire.
He made a mistake. It still is one of the worst calls ever, but he was very apologetic after the game Even went and found the pitcher to apologize, gave him a hug, and was even crying during that time.

Well we know you hate baseball so thats why you don't get what the big deal was haha. The kid was about to throw a perfect game, probably the hardest feat to reach in a game. He basically threw a perfect game last night, but the blown call took it away from him.

I'm indifferent towards baseball.
I saw what happened but it still boils down to a missed call.

I can't believe that Bud Selig didn't overturn that ruling. Major props to Gallaraga though, he has been really professional throughout this whole situation.

He was a class act yesterday... He got all teary eyed and such.
