Mayweather: "At this particular time, Floyd Mayweather is taking probably a year off, a couple of years off from the sport of boxing. I don't really know what the future holds for me at this particular time, but you know, I'll probably take a few years off."

Interviewer: "He said he wants to see you fight Pacquiao."

Mayweather: "Like I said before, I'm taking a couple years off."

They will fight, foolish to have cancelled the last fight, too much money on the table. Mayweather will just dance and jab his way to a unanimous decision, just because he can. I would love to see them go toe to toe and make it an interesting fight, but that won't happen. I was surprised that Mayweather fought a bit against the aging fighter, Shane Mosley, but he got tagged, so he will stay away from Pacmen.

According to ESPN 710

Both camps have agreed to fight in November. 50/50 split on the purse and some form of drug testing. Just waiting for Floyd to approve.

Edit:

Mayweather-Pacquiao Talks Complete: Floyd's Nod Needed

Top Rank CEO Bob Arum informed Kevin Iole of Yahoo Sports that the negotiations to make a November bout between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao - are complete. Arum did not specify the details but he said all of the existing issues have been resolved and that includes the two main issues - a random drug testing protocol being involved and the split of the money between both fighters.

The final proposal has been sent to Mayweather for his approval. Both sides, Top Rank and Golden Boy Promotions, will wait to see if Mayweather approves the proposal, or turns it down. If Mayweather turns it down, Arum will move forward on November 13 with a new opponent - either Antonio Margarito or Miguel Cotto.

“I think the only question is whether Mayweather is prepared to fight now,” Arum said. “He may say he’s had his fight for the year and that’s it and that we’ll address it again next year. He might say that. I don’t know. I don’t know. But that’s what I’m hypothesizing.

“The question is whether Mayweather is willing to go into the ring this year. It’s up to him. His people would love him to do it. He may not want to do it. If Mayweather wants to fight in November, I believe the fight will be made. To me it seems – it seems, and say that, because I’m not Mayweather – that the only issue is whether he wants to fight in November.”

Looks like Mayweather is keeping quiet. Won't commit to fight. Not sure why. Arum may think its about his trainer being preoccupied at the moment. Pacquiao agreed to Mayweather's demands in the end. Not sure what else is left to say about this whole ordeal. The ball was completely in Mayweather's court. He could've at least explained why he didn't want the fight instead of just leaving it to speculation. Even could've used his trainer being in court as his excuse. This just makes him look bad.

Mayweather is either letting his hands heal....letting his brain heal....or just being difficult...Fight is inevitable
Again - this team, as currently constructed won't make it out of the second round of the playoffs, let alone the West or win the Finals.---fido on 2011 Lakers
