I feel this man deserves his own thread for being such a true & hardcore Laker fan for so long. Sure he's a celebrity, but there's no doubt he's as big a Laker fan as anyone that exists. One of the greatest stories I ever heard, was when they were filming The Departed in Boston, Jack refused to work until he was sure there was no green around or any Celtics gear. I thought that was just awesome.

Feel free to post some Jack memories or stories if you have any as well as Jack pics at Laker games.

Plus he's got a pretay hot daughter who's LEGAL as well & he does us the pleasure of bringing her to Laker games with him so we can all catch the aftergame photos of her..

He's our celebrity mascot whereas Vic The Brick would be our team mascot imo.

Couple of interviews with Jack:

ESPN: What is your favorite Laker moment?

Watching Magic (Johnson) trying to teach Vlade (Divac) how to run down the court in the middle of a game in the '80s.

SCOTT LYLE COHEN: When did your love affair with the Lakers begin?

JACK NICHOLSON: I've always liked basketball. I wasn't a Lakers fan for a long time, but eventually I got tired of rooting against the home team, so I switched over, and then after that, it became a passion. It's my main entertainment. It gets me out of the house. You know, they've had quite a run since 1972--for that period of time, there hasn't been a better sports team to watch than the Lakers. It's always entertaining. It's like wine; every season's different.

Actor Jack Nicholson stepped onto the Staples Center court and screamed at a referee during Friday night's Western Conference playoff game between the San Antonio Spurs and Los Angeles Lakers.

Nicholson reacted shortly after Lakers star Shaquille O'Neal was called for his third foul in the second quarter, yelling at Mark Wunderlich during a break in the action.

"I pay a lot of money for this seat,'' Nicholson said at halftime. "This is the NBA, you can't tell me to sit down.''

Nicholson said nobody from security spoke with him, and he was back at his courtside seat as the second half began.

Public address announcer Lawrence Tantor said that Ron Garretson, another official, came to the scorer's table and told the stat crew to get security ready if anything more happened.

Steve Javie, the third official, refused comment shortly before the start of the second half.

There was a brief meeting of NBA security personnel at halftime. Bernard Tolbert, one of those involved, refused comment.

Jack is a different beast come playoff time.

A tru Laker Fan,

and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon,

A negative thought, but when he dies I feel they should reserve that seat for him. Any thoughts.

If I recall correctly, he was out of town shooting a movie at the time.

Dang, Laker ticket holder since 1969. He deserves his own retired jersey.

Yeah, I'd like us to honour him some way.

As much as we all love Jack or at least most of us I assume, I can't describe how SEVERELY disappointed I am in his for wearing those green shoes tonight. I mean this is JACK we're talking about. Plus, hearing that Departed filming story in Boston & all, that would've made me believe even MORE he would've never done such a thing. Just terrible.
