Anybody know what's the latest on it? When is it set to be released completely? I know they showed some of it a while back on ESPN360, but it was only like a trailer..

I think it's supposed to come out next year or something like that. I wonder how long it'll be.

Why so long just for one day? Lazyness? Not high on the priorities list?

Spike Lee's just waiting for the ending to be complete, which is Kobe holding up the Larry O'Brien trophy along with the Finals MVP trophy.

Exactly what I was thinking.

His documentary wouldn't be as exciting if Kobe doesn't have any recent success when the documentary comes out.

^Well then in that case, I don't mind waiting a bit longer.

His documentary is about "a day in the life of Kobe Bryant". They aren't waiting for anything to happen. They followed him that day and have not recorded a minute after that, or we would've heard something about it. It's not about showing how great Kobe is, it's about showing how human he is. They're probably just still working on it. Spike said in the beginning that it was going to come out next year. Have patience.

The guy has been working on several other projects since then. While this may be a priority to us fans, it's not for him.

Spike Lee gave a release date. May 14th on ESPN, IIRC. Kobe's going to be doing some commentary after the game.
