NEW YORK, September 19, 2008 – The NBA announced today that Darius Miles of the Boston Celtics has been suspended without pay for 10 games for violating the terms of the NBA/NBPA Anti-Drug Program at the end of the 2007-08 NBA season. His violation of the program involved phentermine.

Miles’ suspension will begin with the first game of the 2008-09 NBA regular season for which he is eligible and physically able to play.

Someone who never bothered to get it together. A shame.

He sucks and still a nutjob... once a jailblazer, always a jailblazer...

Too bad, was really hoping for him to get a good start to the season. Hopefully he can put everything behind him and just play some good ball.

To be honest, no. But I'm still going to hope the best for him.

How can hope the best for a guy that has been handed a silver platter but keeps throwing back into everyone's face? If luck was taking a sour turn and things were going bad not due to him being a moron, I can see hoping for the best or feeling sorry for him. But man - this kid is an idiot - he belongs on the Celtics.

In my opinion, Miles deserves to be drummed out of the NBA permanently.

I know where you're coming from, he may be stubborn, but I'm going to give him the chance that he's finally come into realization after being smacked by reality with that knee op. He's been told his career was over yet he's attempting a comeback, I'm not his biggest fan or anything but I'm going to give him props for that.

But violating the drug policy again is purely stupid when the microscope is on you already. I mean hey he's on the Celtics - stupidity reigns supreme there anyway - but I just don't see the sense in giving this guy any kind of positive feedback.

He's a waste of talent and NBA size. Meanwhile there's a couple hundred hungry players working their tail off in the NBDL for half the chance(s) he's gotten.

Miles is an insult to those guys who work hard and a disgrace to the NBA.

Haha I can't believe I've forgotten all about the suspension *smacks head*, I guess I just hope the best out of people even though it looks like he hasn't changed. I really wish he hadn't chosen the path he has taken for his career, or at least try and change his ways. He's getting another chance, undeservedly, but since he's already taken it I'm still going to hope he can make do with this one.

He didn't get suspended because he did something rcently. He's suspended because of what he did in the past so hopefully he's changed his ways and hopefully he'll suck with the celtics and hopefully the celtics will burn and suck forever again.

Hey for the world's sake I hope he does come back and drag the Celtics down with him.
