Anyone download the demo?

Played it a little bit ago. I really like it! This is coming from a huge 2K fan.

I played it, like it more than the last 2 Lives. What I love is the animations and how the players act and look in motion... but what I still don't like is the gameplay. It feels off, sometimes like random fast motion and it doesn't seem right to me. I'm waiting for the 2K9 demo to try out.

My friend downloaded it from the xbox live downloads and I played it and it was a good game but not as good as NBA 2k9

Yeah downloaded from day 1, played a heck lot of it...even went through a total of 12 rematches per 2min quarters which lasted for 4min to see how much one still can score in that game...:lol:

i've always bought 2k games (NFL 2K helmet cam was the ish) but i'm done with 2k. I prefer EA now..

Didn't really like it. I hate the fact you need to press a different button for Lay-ups

were u guys high when u played it :machine: ? the demo was wack it started off good when they talked about that dna stuff, but once u got to the actual gameplay it was crap.

Live has finally become playable.

Problem is 2k just crushed it with the addition of adding animations during the season.

The CPU? With default sliders, Rondo makes a crazy % of 3s at the buzzer :machine:

For myself, almost everytime is in the paint though I do have some mediocre success at the 3.

And yeah, when I first played the demo, I was high...cos I had to throw in a spare 1mth gold for it and very excited about it...:omg:

Exactly. It's tough in 2k8 to pull up over defenders. In Live 09's demo, you can pull up. The only way you miss is if the CPU blocks your shot. It feels so arcade-y. Like I said, Live is damn fun and really cool looking, but the gameplay is nothing compared to 2k8 (yes 8). Now place it next to 2k9... game over.

I pull up in 2k9 all the time with LeBron of all people lol, but i've pretty much mastered his shot

i play it multiple times a day. AUUUUUHHHHGGGG!

i have been a 2k guy since 9.9.99 (DREAMCAAAAAAAAAAST!)

but seriously, EA made a pretty decent game this time around...maybe i'll buy both?

No, dun regard that as an identity crisis. Just try to get both.

For me, I think I stated before in the forums, I started with Live on PC gaming, from 1998. I then start 2K with 2K7 when I have my first console, and both of these games are easily my must-buys. With an affiliation with Live for over 10 years and a constant buyer of the series, I dun see myself abandoning the series. As with 2K, it's with the different kind of realism that I get from Live, both are in my arms. :mellow:
