ESPN

In the same week the Chargers decided to release running back LaDainian Tomlinson, they also opted not to tender running back Darren Sproles, freeing him to leave the team in free agency without any compensation, said a source close to the situation.

I have no clue what management is doing in San Diego, they are completely retooling. Alot of San Deigo's stars are going to be gone by the start of next season, no LT, no Cromartie, no Merriman, no Sproles. It will be interesting to see, who fills in for all those guys.

Willie Parker is beat up, no way would he be able to handle the starting role.

What are the Chargers doing? They don't need to re-build. They had a very successful season last year, they need to add one or two more players and they could easily be in the SB, but noooo they have to release to great backs?

Chargers should sign a guy like Chester Taylor or Thomas Jones.

Then draft a back to groom.

I think they'll get Thomas Jones.

What about trying to trade for a guy like Jon Stewart from the Panthers?

I thought about that but I highly doubt that happens. Smash and Dash is the best thing in Carolina right now, and the Panthers will probably do their best to keep these two together for as long as they can. Plus the Panthers already have a couple solid corners in Gamble and Marshall, bringing in Cromartie to play nickle doesnt make a lot of sense unless they offer a 1st or 2nd round pick with it.

They will not take him from my Panthers! But seriously I highly doubt Carolina would give him up. If San Diego did get him though, he'd be an awesome fit and is a GREAT RB.

You think the Chargers could be going after Reggie Bush?

No, the Saints already said they have no intentions of trading him.
