In the same week the Chargers decided to release running back LaDainian Tomlinson, they also opted not to tender running back Darren Sproles, freeing him to leave the team in free agency without any compensation, said a source close to the situation.

What about trying to trade for a guy like Jon Stewart from the Panthers?
I thought about that but I highly doubt that happens. Smash and Dash is the best thing in Carolina right now, and the Panthers will probably do their best to keep these two together for as long as they can. Plus the Panthers already have a couple solid corners in Gamble and Marshall, bringing in Cromartie to play nickle doesnt make a lot of sense unless they offer a 1st or 2nd round pick with it.

You think the Chargers could be going after Reggie Bush?
No, the Saints already said they have no intentions of trading him.
