Hey all,

I address a rumor started by Ric Bucher on his podcast – saying the Lakers asked the Nets about Devin Harris.

Rumorville: Harris to Lakers?
http://www.hoopsworl...?story_id=15048

I don’t have any additional confirmation on that but I can break down why the best move for the Nets might be to dump Harris for nothing!

Thanks

Eric

Good read. As a Lakers fan I really do hope the Nets go for this but looking at it through the eyes of the Nets this could be a real risky move that at the end will just make the team worse (if that's possible). If they don't sign a big name this coming season and go with the Harris trade it's going to be real ugly in Brooklyn next season.

I said the exact same thing on the Devin Harris trade thread. Creating space enough to sign both Lebron and Bosh along with Lopez and the number one pick (Wall) would push the Nets as the favorites in the east. I am wondering if there ever was a team that went from worst to first in one year? I know it has happened in baseball but I don't think it has happened in basketball.

Where's the rumor?
Kobe's official reign of terror is about to get its jump off on.

and courtney lee, yet you forget that this trade would make a future starting lineup look like > devin harris (allstar), kobe bryant (hof), ron artest (allstar), pau gasol (allstar), bynum, and odom as a 6th man

no doubt john wall, cdr/courtney lee, lebron, bosh/yi, and lopez would be good, but if i was a fan on any other team i would be waaaay more scared of the lakers

Yea Fish is a good leader but can't keep up with the younger PG's in the league.

I just saw somewhere that the Nets aren't trying to move him until they know they landed Wall.

Really like Harris & would love to have him. I just can't shake this image of him getting owned by Wade in the finals.

Wade would be on Kobe, and we all know how that ends...
