Isn't Lucas considering another movie, a real one this time, depending on how this one goes?

i sure hope so...

i really thought after AOTC we were gonna get the full brunt of the clone wars.. and ROTS showed promise in the beginning.. but it veered off into the anakin tangent...

i would like to seem more of the battles.. on the other planets.. and the clones utilized to the fullest :nervous:

I have yet to see the Clone Wars yet. The preview showing them change a baby jabba's diapers kinda turned me off. If I had some1 to go with I would see it for sure though. Probably just wait til it hits the dollar theater or rent it.

yeah ya.. see i went into the show thinking it was gonna be a kiddy movie cause of that.. so my expectations were low...

at times it does get ridiculous... but if you look at the background and story arc.... its pretty cool

and the duels are pretty cool too

Darth, did you ever see the original Clone Wars micro-series that aired on Cartoon Network between the releases of Episodes 2 and 3?

Waiting for Clone Wars on DVD, but I really like the regular animated series. As for The Force Unleased, I reserved it and got a message this past weekend on getting in line tonight at midnight to get first dibs. I'm going to pass and just pick it up later this week.

I don't know if I'm Star Wars fan, I'll the pictures explain my Star Wars fanatic status:

I'm a huge Star Wars fan, but I've lost interest in the last year. The Force Unleashed should spark it back in me though.

The Clone Wars movie was never intended to be a movie. It was bought/produced as a TV series. I believe it debuts in January of next year on Cartoon Network. Lucas wanted to prime the public so he basically took (I think its) 3 episodes of the upcoming TV show and molded them into a movie.

I gotta say though the Gendy Taratovsky (SP?) series (the previous animated one) was absolutely fantastic. This one just looked bland. I'm tired of computer 3-d animation and wish more people would realize the superiority of 2-D stuff. Don't get me wrong, I like the Pixar kind of movies, but charm and personality seem to have been lost in a lot of the computer animated movies/shows.

This is the first Star Wars movie I didn't see in the theatre - it just looked terrible to me.

I haven't seen it either, and I watch EVERYTHING Star Wars. It just didn't look good to me.

I have the game and it starts off cool but it gets to be a repetative button masher. They need another Knights of the Old Republic game pronto.

Force Unleashed - I got it for cheap which is the good part. The story is good, the animation is still stilted (as it looks like they're still a long way from getting people to talk naturally), but man the most important part - game play - is rickety. If the game doesn't glitch/lock out on you (which it did several times for me and 3 of my friends) it goes from really easy to downright impossible. Like most of the games in this kind of genre, you play it once and it collects dust. Call me crazy, as I know I'm from a different generation in regards to video games, but replay-ability is really important to me when you pay 60 bucks a pop. This game holds nothing for me on a second run through.

The game has it moments and it starts out promising enough, but in the end winds up being yet another underwhelming Star Wars game for the trade-in pile. Like I said, it was worth the price I wound up paying - $3.

If you want a good Star Wars game - as lame as it sounds - Lego Star Wars is the one you should grab.

Clone Wars - This is coming from a longtime Star Wars geek - (38 years old and seeing everything in theatre - aside from this last animated "movie"- which was simply the first episodes cobbled together into a feature for a quick buck) this show is what I feared - terrible.

Not only is the previous 2-d animated show a far better piece of art, the storytelling and dramatics of that previous Clone Wars romp blows this junk out of the water. The voice over in the beginning of the episodes is way too goofy for a show trying to come off as an action piece. The battle droids being nothing more than a dimwitted comedy act for 4-year-olds is beyond aggravating. Overall, the show just lacks any kind of pop that the previous Clone Wars series had. It lacks the "damn that was cool" factor and has turned Star Wars into a laughable piece of Saturday morning drivel.

Now seriously, this is from a ridiculous Star Wars fan, a guy who has toys, posters, etc. I didn't hate the prequels (they were inherently flawed from the get-go, but that's a rant for another time) and I don't mind that Star Wars is now going to be cheapened into a TV property - its a logical evolution.

All that aside, this show is exactly what I didn't want to see the whole Star Wars thing turn into - forgettable, dismissible, boring and easily forgotten.
