Have you played NBA 2K7 Or NBA 2K8?
The way people shoot is so real.
For Example Kobe Bryant or Lebron

I doubt anyone here has played 2K9 or Live 09...

Played the Live demo, taking some good first steps to get back to being playable.

2K, it took me 1 year for me to get used to it, and I can say I like it. BUT, the way they tumble on the court still sux, even though the so-called shooting is 'real'. This I agree, Live's look weird. 2K8 still has the weird going-back-downcourt motions that look dumb...hope it's not there in 2K9.

As for Live, I played from 98 till 06 on the PC, can't blame me for staying true to Live despite its shortcomings.

I'd still play both.

Same here. Live 2005 was the last Live I really played. I didn't really play 2K6 or Live 06 cuz I had em for Xbox but I just got a 360. But I was becoming a 2K fan. Wanted to buy 2K7 but it was sold out when it came out so I bought Live. Found out why Live wasn't sold out, 2007 was the worst bball game I've ever played. Got 2K7 asap and never looked back to Live.

The last Live series I liked is '97... I bought '03 for PC, it's collecting dust now... waste of money...

Need to subscribe for online play? No thanks...

Live used to be superior
but 2K has passed it.

I don't expect that to change either
2K9.

I have been playing 2k sports since NBA 2k for the dreamcast. I've always felt 2k was the more simulation-style king. However, Live - when they first introduced the freestyle dribbling system in 2003 made me switch over for one year. Live 04 sucked and back to 2k I was and have never looked back.

That being said, Live 09's demo is really fun... But it still feels clanky. The way 2k feels is more like a real basketball game.

2k9 - from reports and what I've read, is going to absolutely be insanely realistic. Live is damn fun this year, but I have NO DOUBTS 2k9 will be king once again.

Did they ever update the FIBA rosters in Live 08? I didn't load the game anymore since majority of the months I do not have Gold.
