Hey im thinking about buying an external hard-drive just so i can watch my anime through my xbox, but i heard there are problems like the xbox not being able to read them? Can anyone confirm that I'll be alright to buy an external and that it'll work fine with the xbox?

a lot of anime is in .mkv format which the xbox won't read. What I do is stream all my vids from my windows 7 comp to the 360 with media center. Then they will work since the computer is decoding em

Thanks for the reply, I did end up getting an external and it works fine I just had to reformat it all in FAT32 format. Most of my anime is in .avi so I've been able to watch them
