everyone starts with 500 dollars, and we can put down our E-cash on Kobe scoring 30, or Lakers winning by +5.

i've seen another forum do this very good.

we can just see who has the most E-money at the end of each season, and they could get a little trophy next to their name.

That was just a points system.

I've seen this used effectively at another forum as well. It is cool for those who are into and inconsequential for those who are not. It is a good way to generate consistent activity and I'd recommend it.

Not that I know of. There's a great deal of programmers waiting for IPB3 though, and there were suggestions of a program similar to that one.

I don't think IP Board has anything like VBookie. We used to have a points system on OTR, but we didn't gamble the money.

I used to post on LGL and they did have something similar to cash and you could bet with it, etc. During the Laker season and playoffs, you could bet on what would happen in those games with Laker Cash (seen below my name, I don't have any in that pic for some reason), etc.. So if you think Lamar won't get more than 25 points, you place how much Laker Cash your willing to bet and if someone accepts, then you wait until the game is over and you have to give them the Laker Cash if they won. (opposite if you won). You could also get Laker Cash for posting, etc...
