argh.. so i kinda dropped it. =[
& it works.. well.. no it doesnt.
it has the 'hold' icon on the top left corner. but its not on hold & its not letting me turn it off or anything.
& so i left it, & it shut off by itself, but it wont let me turn it on.. so i plugged it onto the computer, & it still wont work.
i think i broke it?

i think you can take it back to apple and get a refurbished one...though i'm not 100% sure...

the only reason why im pretty much devastated is coz i saved up for this ipod for 2 years.
i never get any money.. so it always takes me forever.
i only get money on my bday and xmas

From how high did you drop it? I used to have that one and I'm pretty sure I dropped it several times, but it still works (the battery is crap though so i don't use it).

edit: oops actually it isn't the nano. the one i have is the older, and defunct, ipod mini.

My iPod has been half dead for nearly a year now, but I've been carrying it along making it last.

iPod's are extremely unreliable and that's why I don't like them.

Your warranty is up, unless you bought an extended one, but you should at least set up an appointment at your local genius bar/apple store to see if they can repair it there.

i had the old school 3rd generation ipod (20 gig). it stopped working a year ago but i havent gotten another one since. just use your phone as your mp3 player.
